First Day Configuration Testing Rules

Hi,
Our competition is in a week. we sent our robot with a certain configuration, we have a mechanism that is supposed to elevate us on the tower. the problem is that we didn't have time to test it. we have also a ramp mechanism and we intend to hang others with us on our ramp.
My question is - can we test our systems on day 1 (in the warming rounds) and if they don't work - remove them and not be with them for the rest of the competition? (this is all going to be before final inspection, of course) Is it legal? we have a plan B but we wanna use it if Plan A fails, but we need to test it first.
if you wonder, Plan B: we're going to use our ramp for others for easy driving up to the Platform. if we can't help ourselves, at least we'll help others^^.
(oh and BTW, i checked the manual, maybe i missed the relevant part).

thanks ahead :]

Mike,
You have the entire weekend (during open times for the pit) to work on your robot. You can inspect with whatever mechanism you have and then reinspect if you remove, modify or change a mechanism. Please check with your lead robot inspector for guidance before making changes. They can add some insight as to method, speed of change, etc. to help you and to keep you from missing a match. I would suggest you play at least one practice match to see if your mechanism works as intended, then make your decision or inspect. There will be a small practice field for you to test stuff throughout the weekend.
