Re: Best 2010 Lifter

I feel like im biased too... but even though we haven't been to a regional, ours can release, grab, and hang in under 15 sec. im hoping that thursday this week i will actually be able to say on a competition field that it did that well:D

in this video, we climb in about ten seconds... and the motor was not turned all the way up (poor brent was a little slow with the controls  )

525's lifter was always fun to watch and was quite consistent. Once they got up onto the bump in the last 20 seconds it was basically a guarantee. Although it ended up dooming us in the 3rd finals match it was still my favorite. ;)

EDIT: After seeing the video of 1717's lift, I must say it is extremely impressive as well!

I've heard murmurs of a 4 CIM hang.

If I may brag a moment (because in six years I've never had a *robot* to truly brag about, even if I've had a team that is awesome), I believe that 22 hanging points puts us at the top of the ladder for week one...

But that said, 1717's lift is *freaking amazing*. I love it. It's the only one I've seen so far that might be faster than ours.

Well done, 1717, well done.

COOL!
Look what I found on Facebook.
Good view of both robots hanging in the last match.

Also, I've got to mention 2016 in here. They were our alliance partners in NJ and hung extremely well and could clear the platform by 8" or more. I'd watch out for them in Dallas.

I'm sure 254's robot is a great lifter. We've come to expect nothing less. However, this thread is about the best lifter, and I'm from Missouri, so show me. You're about 5 weeks too late for teasers.

It should have been obvious to anyone who's been around since 2004 that 254 would lift using their drive transmissions, but for those who are newer, now you know.

I wasn't talking about 254. Can I not compliment another team?

Our coach, Jack, wanted video of the last match in the worst way.
They are very proud of finally being able to hang.
