I noticed the same thing, and wondered the same thing. I'm guessing we both saw the same foul called on the webcast :)

If you happen to see any members from Team 1501 ask them to come see your robot and give them candy :D :D :D

If anyone at the Wisconsin regional happens to be reading this, the webcast went down right after alliance selection finished. Can someone get word to the people working the webcast? I'm hoping they can get it restored before elims start at 1:30. Thanks!

Does anyone have the alliance selections and final results?

Anyone have any issues with the way this regional ended? I know the referees have a tough time trying to decide what is right and what to do in the case of the unexpected, but I truly believe the final match should have been replayed after the communications had been more thoroughly inspected. When there's one robot complaining about communications issues, it can usually be narrowed down to a problem with their robot. Four though (by the end of the match)? I really hope whatever may have happened here can get ironed out by week 3.

Thanks to all the volunteers at the Wisconsin Regional. You are the reason why the regional is so much fun each year.

Also thanks to our alliance partners, teams 537 and 93. We gave it a good run.

Congratulations to the winning alliance, 2574, 1732, and 171. Also to team 1306 for winning the Chairman's Award.

Finally, congratulations to 3381, the Rookie All-Star team. All of the rookie teams this year were very impressive.

they did determine that our main breaker tripped at the end of the last match, we got hit going through the tunnel and our battery dropped to 4 volts. As for team 2481, they lost communications in the 2nd and 3rd match, their robot was thoroughly inspected and no problems were found in it. it was strange, their bot worked in autonomous but stopped working when teleop started. Kinda disappointing, we really thought we had the final in the bag after we won the first final match 10 - 4. There were a lot of communication issues throughout the day, not just in the finals, i hope they find a way to clear that up.

On top of that, can someone tell me how it ended? I can't get a hold of any of my Wisconsin friends and want to know how my team looked and stuff. Thanks!

:( We were a little sad about those last two matches and the loss of com, but in the end we had a GREAT time. We were so happy with how well we performed and our record of 15-1 until those final two matches. I am actually making a video of the final matches now and will post for whoever is interested :) Thanks to all the other alliances for making this a great competition!

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Wisconsin Regional

Anybody notice the amount of disconnects during matches throughout the day?

Katie_UPS 14-03-2010 00:11

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Wisconsin Regional

Yeah. Definately. We, fortunately, never got disconnected.

Congrats to the winners, my ties to Cheese Curd Herd, and Hilltoppers made that especially wonderful (don't you love seeing friends win?). Also, super congrats to 1714 with engineering inspiration (they definately make life easier for our team) and to 1306, because winning Chairman's at Wisconsin definately says something. You guys are awesome. :)

EDIT: I thought Fondy Fire was part of the winning alliance. >.< My bad.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Wisconsin Regional

We had disconnect issues with our alliances 7 different times during the day. We noticed other teams having the same problems very frequently. Its unfortunate but the volunteers put in so much work its hard to be too upset. I hope next year they sort out their severe issues with interference though.

Congratulations to Katie Widen from 1675 on making the Dean's List! You have been a fantastic friend, student, and "sister" I can't wait to see what you're going to do in the future. I'm so proud of you.

Also congratulations to all other teams at the Wisconsin Regional, there were a lot of fantastic matches and everyone had tons of spirit! Congratulations to all award winners and I hope the Midwest and Minnesota regionals run just as well.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Wisconsin Regional

I am not saying this as a negatively but throughout the comp there were many comm problems and the scoring system with the blue side added up to a little frustration. Besides that, Wisconsin regional proved to be a great time! the teams were/are awesome, the people were great, awesome volunteers... and the list goes on and on.

Thank you 1018 and 2202 for being such great alliance partners!
Thank you team 2197 for the T-Shirts :D
And thank you NASA for making this years season possible for the team and streaming the regional for family and friends to see!
