Are there any teams in the new york area preferably in Staten Island that would be willing to give me and one of my teammates a lift to and from Monty?

1796 has 2 spots in their five cars that are driving out. It will be a full house if you guys decide to come but the spots are there if you'd like them. We are departing from our school no later then 5 AM.
The schools address is
37-02 47th Ave
Long Island City, NY 1101.

The 7 train is literally a block away. Email me at ptbeninati@gmail.com as soon as possible if you're interested.

Were there any specific volunteer assignments? All I got were the confirmation emails.

Same problem here. I didn't get specifics on what shifts either.

Well it was a great Monty Madness yet again, I've got to give my main shout out to all of the great volunteers from Team 1403 who are behind this again as always every single year. Although there were several issues in the beginning, everything got back to schedule and rolling once those problems were figured out.

Amazing job all the volunteers, I could see the exhaustion in everyone but they all pulled it through.

I'd also like to personally thank Chris Gregory and Nate Knauss for letting me try my hand at MCing, it was a lot of fun and I got to learn a bunch from the pros, to work up this skill.

The teams all did a great job at one of the first post-season events and I was very excited to see some intense competition go down towards the end.

Congrats to everyone for helping make another Monty Madness!!!!

On behalf of Team 341, we wanted to thank Tim Leicht, Team 1403 and everyone that made Monty Madness possible. It was a great event.

We also wanted to express our appreciation to the many volunteers such as Nate Knauss, Sara Reffler, Carol Perotto, Pete Kieselbach, and many others that made the day so fun.
Thank you to Team 103 for picking us and to Team 75 for picking up the scoring when we needed it. You were both amazing partners.

Congratulations go out to Teams 25, 303, and 369 for forming such a strong alliance. You truly deserved to be Champions.

Hopefully we will see everyone next year at Monty Madness!

Yesterday was quite the day, hehe.

I would like to thank 1403, as well as the other volunteers, for making Monty Madness an amazing off-season event. I, 1676 included, had an so much fun. Great job guys! :)

293 and 1647- you guys did a great job. Even though we got knocked out early, it was still a lot of fun playing with you guys. I hope to see you guys at other competitions!

25, 303, and 369- back to back shows of beautifully made robots. Congratulations on winning Monty Madness 5. You all played very well.

Props to all the other teams that made Monty Madness a memorable experience. I cant wait to come back next year! :D

Re: 2010 Monty Madness

On behalf of Redbird Robotics, FRC1807, I wanted to say thanks to our fabulous alliance partners from teams 2753 and 224. After a grueling 4-match quarterfinal that we barely eked out, we were left with our leftside drive wheel and chains on the field, and the prospect of immediately facing the #1 seeds in the semis.

With a team of only 5 students (2 of them at their very first competition) and no technical mentors present, we faced a daunting task. But our alliance partners helped us make the repairs in the queuing line as the ominous countdown towards disqualification or replacement by backup team was looming, and we were able to make the field in time for our blue alliance to be announced.

And although we couldn't quite match up against 25, 303 and 369 (who played fantastic), we gave them a good fight, and more importantly, our students walked away proud from the experience.

Sincerely,
Chris Nalbone
