Re: The Most Spectacular Falls of 2010
at Pittsburgh in one of the seeding matches, 1114 grabbed onto the bar, and started pulling themselves up in the cool way that they do, but they weren't fast enough, and the match ended when the were about a foot away from locking on, which cut their power, and they fell down and hit the floor.

This isn't one from the tower, but it was pretty epic.
Arizona Regional, QF3-1 (if I recall correctly) ended with team 60 mostly on top of a flipped over team (don't remember who, might have been 3194). It was one of those "how did THAT happen?" moments. Amazingly enough, no penalties from that set of QFs--despite the teams playing like they were in a New England regional and on defense. |

The Chesapeake regionals saw a nice fall -- I believe it happened yesterday.
A robot winched itself up and looked good. Then the entire lift mechanism broke off and the robot hit the floor hard. :ahh: If anybody has video of it, please put on youTube or somewhere. I'd love to show it to some friends. |

I'm not sure if this counts as a fall or not, but when 2530's wheel fell off in a match, and they could still keep driving and righting themselves when they flipped, that was really impressive.
