Wow.

71 has played two matches and their total Seeding Score is 0.
1732 who also played two is in first place with a score of 33.

Now they have 1 seeding point! ;)

The DJ plays a LOT of Daft Punk during matches.

Looks like Eliminations will be very interesting. There are quite a few good robots there.

That's been a "highlight" of Midwest for awhile. As much as I love those guys, you don't just get to throw up the entire Discovery album for elims music and call it a day.

I gotta ask - How is it that 71 is so low in the standings? I just watched Q46, and they were extremely effective - they shot all 3 balls the whole field in auton, then scored rapidly in teleop. Have they just had astounding bad luck? (this is the first match of theirs I've managed to watch today, so if they didn't get inspected until now, I guess that'd make sense)

I only saw a few early matches, but alliance penalties seemed to hurt them, including several self-imposed carrying penalties (2 pointers, ouch). I'm not sure if they've taken care of that issue since I last watched them.

I know, it's great. I love this DJ. BTW was I the only one who heard an F-Bomb dropped on the webcast? I heard it on my speakers and had nothing else running with sound so I don't know what else it could have been. Either way, I laughed pretty hard.

I love watching this regional, very very fun.

I was just about to comment on how depressing and anti-climatic the match music is. They need some really upbeat/fast paced/intense techno.

From what I've been told, earlier in the day Beatty was being penalized for their kicker extending beyond the frame perimeter for more than 2 seconds. It looks like they've taken care of their issues, earning 73 seeding points in their last three matches. They've gone from 40th all the way to 8th place in standings.

That is amazing and very 71 like! Like I stated earlier in this thread, they were on the bottom of the list after 3 matches and now look at them.

This is one of the reasons I like the new scoring system - Since it isn't directly dependent on discrete matches, it is possible to make up for lost time if you've been unlucky or broken for a match or two. If you lost 2 or more matches in past years, you'd be out of the running for the top 8 for sure.

Match 65 was pretty exciting. Baxter put in a bunch of balls in a row, then two robots were hanging on the Blue tower at the same time.

I didn't realize how much the tunnel would interfere with short, center zone hangers. They just barely make it up.

That was 16, The Baxter Bomb Squad scoring a bunch. Then they and 2949 hung on the tower

Robots should position themselves to ride the vertical pole up when hanging if at all possible - offset their stance so their bumper rests on the pole before elevation.

Also, what's up with 2803? Looks like they aren't even fielding Human players.
