I'm echoing this. Can't be there, but i can have a webcast up while I work. I believe there is no official webcast, but I'd be thrilled if someone would host one.

I've been looking pretty hard for the past couple days to find a webcast link, and I'm pretty sure there's not going to be one. I spoke with Team 48 and unfortunately they will not hosting a regional this weekend due to the fact their primary webcast volunteer is not in attendance. They competed last weekend too, so I don't blame him! If I find anything, I'll post it here.. let us know if you find anything!

Aw...another finalist for 1772. But a relatively successful year for them, and they're sure to be a hot topic for atlanta.

Thank you team 1086 and 48 for the awesome alliance! it was looking like it just wasn't going to be there for a while. Congrats teams 1519, 1772 and 1741 for putting up such a good battle.

I wish I could have been there to see it, heck wish I could have seen it from here. Thanks to everyone who has been sending me text message updates, Marissa, Dan, Kell, Jonell, Michelle, and Alex.

Tons of Congrats to 1086, 1902, and 48! You guys played an amazing game. Especially congrats to 1086 for their marvelous display of gracious professionalism!

Also, congrats to 1519,1772, and 1741 for being finalists! They had to work hard the whole time and they put up a very good fight!

This regional was super fun! (Especially the ice cream social!) Although we overheated Friday and semi-froze Saturday (probably due to heat change), we were never (that far) behind time! :) This was one of the best regionals that I have been to!

Just got back to Ohio about an hour ago with a smile on my face the whole way home.

Many thanks to 1086 - Blue Cheese and 1902 - Exploding Bacon for choosing us as the final member of that awesome alliance that is now the Inaugural North Carolina Regional Champions. Bacon and Cheese ELITE. :D

Congrats to 1519, 1772 and 1741 on regional finalists. As I expected from having a birds eye view throughout the finals and echoed by my fellow field resetters, your alliance was going to very tough to beat and it made for a very exciting set of finals matches. We went through the finals as they should be, tooth and nail til the buzzer sounds.

Overall the event was run fairly smoothly especially for being a rookie regional and I would like to thank the volunteer crew that I worked along side all weekend and Dave Butler for being an excellent field manager in his first ever year as a volunteer.

Other than the temperature in the arena at about 3pm and the sun in the pits until about 11am I would say this regional was one of the better ones I have seen and I wouldn't mind seeing my team return there soon.

Thanks to all and Good Night! or morning..or whatever I'm too tired to discern.

I had to laugh as we stopped for dinner on the way home. Wendy[mom?]'s named a sandwich after us. See attachment.

Thanks to 1086 and 1902 for picking us and for leading a great run through the elimination rounds. After dealing with a lot of bugs earlier in the season, I'm just happy that our drivetrain was reliable enough at this event to contribute positively to an elimination round alliance.

Congratulations to 1519, 1772, and 1741 for a fine performance and a thrilling finals series.

A shout out to our friends on 379 for their very strong showing.

North Carolina was an awesome event all around, executed superbly. Thanks to all event volunteers and the marquis cast of characters who made the regional what it was. :)

One request - if teams have pictures and video of our alliance and our elimination round matches, I'd appreciate it if they could contact me via PM.

Re: North Carolina Regional

Guys,

First let me start off by saying this competition was a total pleasure! Everyone came to this new regional with enthusiasm and open hearts! Being part of the mechanical team it was great fun to be with all of you in the pits. 1902 and 48, you two were awesome partners, no explanations needed but: great groups, great leadership, great robots, GREAT FUN! See you guys in Atlanta!

1519, 1772, and 1741... You guys really gave us a run for our money and were fun to compete with, your offense, and especially your defense was top of the line!

I want to thank 401 for having a great time during the Team Social! The Ultimate Frisbee was most definitely one of the highlights of my time in North Carolina!

I also want to give a special thanks to 587, The Hedgehogs. You guys were especially nice and gracious in the pits. When we had a possibly shortage of charged batteries in the finals you guys offered to lend us one, and for that I thank you!

122, you guys come, and you come in force! The NASA Knights showed up ready themselves, and ready to help others. While working I saw them helping multiple teams in need, and I believe they deserve recognition for that!

I want to also thank the North Carolina Fair Grounds. The building we were in was one of the best buildings I have competed in! Natural light, occasional fresh breeze, stands that everyone could see from... It was great. I hope 1086 will be able to attend again in the future.

The Final Ceremonies ended on time, if not earlier! For this the Volunteers and Coordinators deserve special recognition. After the three hour delay in VCU (Not their fault) it was great to be able to get home before 1:00AM (inside joke).

Last but not least by any means, I wish to thank both Dean Kamen and Andy Baker. Most of our team at one point or another asked for you gentlemen to sign our cheeseheads. Both of them also did a fantastic job at what they did. There were many teams unprepared with the snow and Mr. Baker was able to get everyone inspected in a timely fashion. And everyone who attended saw Mr. Kamen's new merchandise in the Closing Ceremonies. That lightbulb was a bright idea!

I recorded all of the matches except for qual 1 and 37 on my camcorder. ''I was having issues but the rest of the tape looks really nice.'' I will have them available for download here in the next few weeks.

Oh, and I had a great time talking to Gabrielle on team 48 ''Delphi Elite'' also. I got to talk to some members of Exploding Bacon and some people on team Krunch. I had a blast talking to you guys.
