78 hangs from the side bar, but doesn't flip.

At Cass Tech they seemed to be doing just fine with the bumps and handeling them.

I'd agree they are very nimble while going over the bump now. In fact, I'm not even sure they couldn't go over forwards before their arm was taken off, Its just that it wasn't shown in the video.

When pit scouting, someone from 910 said they could hang from the vertical bar and drive up it. I NEVER saw this happen however, so I won't stay they can for sure. Did any else hear that and can confirm/deny this data?

Well, how recent was this? at Kettering they had nothing of the sort on their robot, although I wouldn't be suprised if they have built something since and are planning on using it this weekend.

It had to be at kettering becaue that is the only district they have competed in and i was at kettering and i saw no sign that hey could hang with their robot.

It was at Kettering they they said that. I'm going to double check it at Troy and confirm or deny this.

They could have been kidding, like when people tell you they have a billion wheels on their robot and it can fly. Sometimes some sarcastic team members will tell you this if you ask them something that's obviously not true (asking a kitbot if they can suspend robots, for example)

Our robot also has a double jointed arm that enables us to hang vertically and still go through the tunnel.

I'm sure they weren't kidding. I talked to one of their mentors also (although that doesn't make a difference). I also can only find one picture, which is no help at all. http://www.flickr.com/photos/daniele...7623582837940/

From what I can see, it lacks any sort of hanging mechanism...

910 was working on the whole drive up the pole thing and the parts were on at kettering but not working. They may be ditching that idea to use the weight some place else.
