EPIC LIGHTSABER BATTLES IN ATLANTA
 

Due to the fact that this is the last year championships will be in Atlanta, I felt we should make it an event everyone will remember, regardless of if you go home empty-handed or as the newest member of the Hall of Fame. For this reason, I decided we need to have some fun where everyone will be a winner. That's right, a lightsaber battle in the courtyard outside the Georgia Dome. I want to see lightsabers whenever I walk out there. However, we will have to remember: lightsabers can hurt if you swing hard enough, so watch where you swing, be careful, and stop if someone tells you to. We don't want any injuries. Make sure you have safety glasses on and have fun!

I plan on coming home from Championships even happier than last year and school on Monday seeming incredibly boring.

Make sure not to forget to pack your lightsaber!

If you do not own one, they can be purchased at most Walmarts and Walgreens.

If you own multiple, you may want to bring extras for new friends you may make.

I feel as engineers, we should get more inventive than that. Like Nerf guns or something.

can you bring nerf guns on a plane? or do i have to check them?

The thing about Nerf Guns... They will leave foam darts everywhere. It would be fun, but I don't want to litter the courtyard with nerf darts.

Man, I am so jealous.

If lightsabers don't work out, you can always go with a giant battle using cardboard-and-duct-tape-weaponry (Grosse Pointe South High School's senior class had one such battle on their front lawn between classes this year).

Nerf guns are better done inside, where you can see all of the darts you drop :P I wouldn't use them outside if you have to clean them up. While playing Humans vs. Zombies on an abandoned farm where - while it may be not-environmentally-friendly - you can get away with not picking up all of your darts, I don't know if the Georgia Dome/surrounding area would appreciate finding them everywhere :P

A lightsaber fight in Atlanta would be EPIC! It would be fun, and memorable. Also, some of us don't have Nerf Guns :(

Regular Roomba will pick up NERF darts, it is the kind of thing you find out when you work for Hasbro and have an affinity for robots.
