At work on a really busy Saturday and customers have attitude, it is hot, no room, and crazy. I want to pick up the phone and say, "Attention customers. If there is a Charlie Brown in the store please come to the checkout, your dog is trying to use your credit card. He is a small, white beagle, name tag says SNOOPY on it." And just see what happens. Someone will laugh while my boss wonders why he promoted me to an assistant! :D

Well, we haven't really any announcements but here a few great pranks.

We once convinced a rookie there was a thing called "Wireless PWM cable"
and we asked here to CAD 8 meters of it. And she did!!I wish I had it here, but it was basically two heads of a PWM cable.
Another good one is the "Electricity powder". Sometimes we get innocent rookies to fall for it, when we do these odd to prove it's real.

Sometimes we make up tools, but they are mostly in Hebrew so I'll spare you guys.

Another favorite one is the "two sided liquid exploding glue with lumps"

These didn't happen (to my knowledge) but here is a few ideas.

-A light saber
-Programing help and mountain dew
-Your own 469 (probably wont work next year unless they surprise us again)
- A hanger (again probably wont work next year)
- Regolith
- A cupid shuffle
- The matrix
- A terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger will suffice)

We got a rookie to ask for a blow torch to heat the motors up so they would go faster (lack of good programming had the jags not at 100%).

at the Oklahoma City Regional we almost asked for them to announce..
"We need a roll of toilet paper for a Mr. L*****r..............*sigh* and a mop."

Just a heads up, the latest Manual release tells teams explicitly to not do this...

Chris, all the manuals have done that. However, it is a largely-ignored rule, mainly because a) the pit announcers want something to break up their day, and b) because it gives everyone a laugh for a bit, if they're in hearing range.

I'm sorry, but unless this tool has a limited number of predetermined settings, than it cannot be both metric and adjustable.

At the 2009 NYC regional:

You should modify the second one to be "several bottles of chilled steam".
