Team 341 at NBA Game on April 6th

1 Attachment(s)
On April 6th, Team 341 will hold a FIRST demonstration during a Philadelphia 76ers NBA basketball game at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.
During the game our 2006 machine will fire red & blue poof balls into the stands from the competition floor while our team members also throw balls into the crowd.
Before the game we will have a FIRST information booth and an interactive driving zone where fans can talk to team members and a drive Miss Daisy to score baskets.
If you wish to attend or help with the demo, tickets are $20 ($45 value).
Please see the attached flier for details.

This sounds like a fantastic event!

What did you have to do to arrange this robotics night? What tips can you give for other teams to do the same in their areas?

The best person to speak with would be the ticket sales manager. We showed him some video and just captured his imagination. Our 2006 machine is our permanent demo bot and was a natural fit for basketball.

Luckily he was a guy with some vision and the strength to take a risk. We were all nervous that it might not go well, but the crowd loved it and here we are making our second appearance. :)
