State Championship BOM Virus?

My USB stick was used to transfer the BOM to Inspector at State Championship.
The very next time I put it into my computer it was infected. Anyone else have the same problem?

I've seen a lot of that.
Teams bring in BOMs on infected sticks.
Lots of viruses also come in on the Classmates and pass infections through sticks used to apply the DS and other updates.
They then get passed to the Inspectors PC.

Reserve one stick containing your BOM for one-time use at the Inspectors station, then clean it before you use it anywhere else.

Using a stick that locks is safest.

I have that problem also but the antivirus program caught and cleaned it.

Re: State Championship BOM Virus?

That would explain why our code had trouble deploying when we tried to change our auto mode, and possibly some of the field issues depending on how far it went into the system. I hate to put on my "Linux is superior" hat, but FIRST needs to start twisting NI's arm for FRC Labview Build for Linux and compatible driver station builds, so we at least have the option of heading it off that way, or a least have AVG updated as a requirement.
