Well thank you for making me anxious for no reason.
I was perfectly fine sitting at my desk at work oblivious to what division I was in. /sigh Back to work... Someone wake me when the actual ones are posted! |

Re: Divisional Preview
FIRST has gotten upset about hijacked links in the past. They just don't know how to hide from the Google spiders for long. Anyways it doesn't mean anything until it's officially, which will probably be 5pm like when they usually let it out.

Re: Divisional Preview
Yes, thank you for the excitement. Where did y'all find this? Just out of curiosity. Maybe I shouldn't ask, my post my get deleted or censored. lol jk

Re: Divisional Preview
I posted this in the rumor mill because i fully expected them to change. This was meant to be a fun way to build excitment before the official release. Nothing unethical was meant by it and dont regard any of this as official. So much for a fun rumor thread...

Re: Divisional Preview
It was fun, especially when you are searching around different sites to find it!
I think when you and Alex responded you guys seemed to give it more of an "official" sense which drove people up the wall thinking that FIRST had hidden it for us and you two knew where it was! If I was you, I would have predicted where the top 10 teams in each division would have gone and watched to see if they would have come true! :D Thanks for posting it gave me something to laugh about today! |
Re: Divisional Preview
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Just take it easy guys. Don't make FIRST's job any harder than it is - imagine what happens around Championship payment deadline time (i.e. now). They're working very hard to handle a number of teams' needs right now. People may be dropping - some may be adding in at the last minute. I imagine it's rather hectic. Patience is a virtue. Let them release their divisions on their own terms. I'd wait until the team list links for each division show up on this page: http://usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/...nt.aspx?id=432 |
Re: Divisional Preview
FIRST's test event schedule page is showing Newton right now... which matches up with Justin's original preview of 16 and 67...

Re: Divisional Preview
Would put us in Newton too, with 177, 178 and Rosie (sort of an honorary CT team they are so close). Fine by me, hope it stays this way!

According to that test schedule 67 will have 10 Qualification Matches. I'll check for other teams and edit back. *Edit* It appears that teams will have 10 matches with the exception of some surrogates. (according to the test schedule) |
Re: Divisional Preview
I think they changed it from the mad rush earlier because we are not on Newton anymore. But I like this Newton with 1922,1902, and 1073 on one field.
Crosses fingers for: 1519,1073,1058,1922! I know it probably won't happen! |

Did you guys notice that they're giving each team 10 matches?
Granted, they could just be playing with match intervals... |

It appears that is built around a 6 minute match interval (Start of one to the start of another) |
Re: Divisional Preview
10 matches was the stated plan for this year and the reason we're starting matches on Thursday according to Bill's Blog.

GO 93! Curious to see who ends up in each division. If 1114 and 469 end up in the same division they could be hard to beat. Where did 1918 end up? They might be able to beat out 469 and 1114 in ranking to split them up. |
