To everyone in Archimedes:
Lets help each other speed up the scouting process by posting links to videos and pics of our robots. It is to everyone's benefit to start off in Atlanta as well informed teams that are ready to play. FYI: We posted a video earlier in this thread.
Best wishes to all in our division.

Team 1519:

Videos- http://www.mechanicalmayhem.org/teamvideos.asp

Build season and GSR highlights- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di-F2uhMIUc

And a picture of our robot Vortex!

Unfortunately this picture was taken before GSR and leaves out our ball vacuum and active shepherding which work well at getting balls off of walls and bring them to our sucker!

Good luck in Atlanta, hope to see you in a few days!

So apparently it was spelled "the Oooberbot", but yep, it was the exact same pronunciation. I was confused too.

876
8wd with direct drive supershifters and plaction wheels
good at scoring from middle zone
double roller pincher type ball grabber, sort of like 148 etc.
haven't had to play any defense yet but I'd think we're well set up for it.

See ya there, this looks like a fun group of teams.

This pretty much shows what 1629 is about... of course we realize we'll be up against better defenders than the zany and sluggish pyramid bot in this clip.

604
8WD
2 speed transmission
Kicker capable of scoring from any zone
Autonomous for each zone
"Pinch" style ball retention
We have played full on offense and full on defense, and have been extremely successful at both.

We have never tipped and have never broken down.

A current picture is now separately posted on CD, as 1519 at North Carolina 2010.

1519 was fantastic this year. Your team has much to be proud of! I expect 1519 will be doing great things in Archimedes this year.. Someone's gotta represent New England!

Everybody better watch out for these guys.

It only takes them a few seconds to go from one side of the field to the other, a maneuver they used to great success at SVR. They were indefensible on the offensive end. We played against them in the quarters. Knowing that 604 would move to the offensive position, 3129 decided to set up in the home zone and launch our offensive attack. Even with our alliance's midfield robot dead in the water, 3129 poured in 8 goals that match, but 604's alliance still outscored us (final score: 13 to 10).

We figured with our alliance's midfield bot running for the second match, we could outscore 604's alliance. No dice. 604 changed strategy and locked us down in our home zone. We had to pull in our midfield robot and double-team them just to get any balls in. We got flattened, 9 to 4.

This just highlights Quixilver's versatility and adaptability. Like Eugene said,

That's no idle boast. They'll be a valuable member of any eliminations alliance at Atlanta, if not the captain.

Oh yeah, and they're in contention for the Dean's List, Engineering Inspiration, and Chairman's Awards, too. These guys are the real deal.

Eugene, now that I've gone and put a target on your back (:D), knock 'em dead at Atlanta!

Am I the only one that noticed that 604's Ball Manipulator looks alot like 1114, 217, and 148's?

Flash 1319 Specs:6 Wheel Drive all wheels driven by their own motor/gearbox combo6 AM Plaction wheels with the high traction treadMiddle wheel Floats for easy bump traversal and drives around on the floor with the center wheel slightly lower for quick maneuverabilityQuick latching hook on arm for lifting. Lifts From Floor to scoring height in 5 seconds flat. Our Kicker will clear all zones and we are decent at scoring from midfield.Since Archimedes is so deep I would call us a decent offensive robot, excellent at defense and we can hang with the best of them.

Good Luck to everyone in Archmides Division.
