Could i propose Grand haven? A pic of a gazillion FIRSTers lined up heading out to the lighthouse would be super cool. In fact, maybe there should be a Grand Haven District event... Sometime around Week 12...

I would like to suggest Holland, we have 5 teams and also have a lighthouse. I think it about time for West Michigan teams to organize. I been in FIRST a long time and I am sad to say until the past year our team has done very little with the other teams from this area. There are so many new teams that I would like to meet. Last year 2771, 1918, 74, 141, 85.... These were just numbers. I think in ten, eleven or heaven forbid fifteen more year in FIRST I will not remember matches won or lost or even what years robots did what. But, I still remember the friends I made at Harper College in 1997 and look forward to seeing them every year. Needless to say, I think the Idea of a Picnic is a great Idea. And if there is anything I or Team 107 can do to make it happen we would be happy to help.

Then maybe afterward we go to 141's bot cave and play a round of laser tag at the Lost City like that one night in off-season.

I think it should be around the time of WMRI...like that weekend so I only have to make one trip.

I don'y know about you, but swimming in Lake Michigan in October is not my idea of fun.

But a post WMRI team social? maybe in the same gym after we clean it up? if you have a Team social after clean up, clean up becomes a lot less of a hassle for the teams running it, and adds another reason for more teams to come.

Thanks for all the great ideas. Were just starting to make all the arangements, I believe that we will be holding the picnic in the Middle of July, or early June. Not sure yet. Once we have any confirmed details I will post them on this form.

Yea, a cool picture with all of us in out team shirts, so that the programmers don't get unburnt. But really, a great idea for something that would be a relatively new idea brought to FIRST. My daughter took her last finals at Grand Valley today and just sent me this picture of the sunset at Holland tonight. Let's make the picnic last into the evening!
