[TBA]: Disk Space
 

Hi all,

The Blue Alliance is running out of disk space. We are generously donated a dedicated server by HostRocket, but our attempts to contact them to get another hard drive installed have failed. We will continue to attempt to contact HostRocket Support, but in the mean time we're stuck with what we've got.

We're removing high quality matches from previous years to free up disk space. We are keeping copies of these videos offline, and they should all be available from http://www.firstvideoarchive.com/, which scrapes TBA to get match videos.

In the mean time, it would be great if we had some alternative storage points for unparsed video. Maybe someone else can offer up an FTP disk for people to push raw video to?

If anyone has suggestions on how we might get more disk space, please share them!

I might be able to lend a hand- I've got a paid hosting account with a ton of free disk space and decent bandwidth that I don't use all too much. How much space are you talking?

I have roughly 21GB of free space out of 30GB on my VPS.

In the near future, I can add more space to help store TBA videos if this becomes a long-term problem.

I have a lot of space if you need it, currently Jeff has all the unparsed Newton matches on my server (50GB worth).

Let me know if you want some space.
