How has FIRST changed your ambitions?
 

Hello CD community,

I'm currently writing a paper for my college composition class and I was wondering if anyone would share some stories with me about how FIRST has changed them.

More specifically, when first starting out on a team you wanted to be a professional sports star, actor/actress, singer, or just famous in some way. Now that you have gone through some time, whether a day, decade or more, in FIRST you have changed your future career ambition to science, technology, engineering, or math.

My story is this:
Before I joined my team when I got in high school I wanted to start my own computer company and possible be the next Bill Gates, My family and friends already knew that I was good with computers and could often solve their problems so this seemed like a great idea. After spending time involved in FIRST, especially this last year as a mentor, My plan now is to become a computer science teacher and continue mentoring with FIRST.
