Wave Robotics is very excited to be attending their first IRI competition. We had to drop out last year and it was a shame. I am sure we will have a great time and not dissapoint! I haven't been to IRI since 2004 and am very excited to return and view this competition from a mentors perspective.

Looks like IRI is going to be absolutely insane. I cant wait to see the results of the competition; this is definitely going to be a close call. I may be going to a summer program with the two other members of our team, so we will try to watch the webcast if we can. Good luck to all of the teams competing!! :)

A reminder for teams - if you wish to contribute to the IRI Teams Scholarship Fund, you can include that donation with your entry fee.

This is totally optional. Funds contributed in 2009 will be used to help fund a 2010 scholarship, and funds contributed this year will be used for a 2011 IRI Scholarship.

Guys, this year looks like it's going to be really competitive and fun! IRI will include:

84 teams total!
39 Regional Champions!
12 teams that were Regional Champions more than once this year!
9 of the twelve Einstein Competitors!
4 of the six Einstein Finalists!
2 of the three Einstein Champions!

1086 can't wait to be there!

You forgot to mention that both members of the Cheese Alliance will be in attendance. ;)

Yeah! Blue Cheese and MORE Robotics! Also the Cheesy Poofs and the Cheese Curd Herd will be there!

Something else I noticed while looking through the records, was that lots of teams that are sucessful in IRI return. I had heard before, that IRI hosted an event of champions, but until now I didn't take it literally! This is my second year in FRC, and this year I have been able to really look at the team numbers... 67, 294, 1114, 469, 2056, 343, 1625, 3138, 254... All of them went into Einstein this year... and five of those have been victorious at IRI in the past. All of those teams are returning this year!

Any way you look at it, the competition is going to be fierce!
