A Panel Discussion on Careers for Girls
 
Since the panel discussion we held at Atlanta was such a success, we are repeating it locally.

On Thursday, May 13th, at 6:00 in Wilmington, DE we will have a panel discussion and Q&A session for girls on from the local teams, girls scouts, and any other girl who is interested in technical careers. The panelists are:

Diane Gulyas, President, Performance Polymers, DuPont
Judy Passwaters, Global Director, Facilities Services & Real Estate, DuPont
Kathy Werrell, Assistant Dean and Director, Engineering Outreach, Univ. of DE
Vicki Land, Pepco Holdings, and Society of Women Engineers
Deborah Grubbe, FIRST Board of Directors
Rashmi Kumar, Editor and doctoral candidate, University of Pennsylvania

Science, Engineering, & Technology

Girls – Are you thinking about a career in science, technology, or engineering? Are you interested in learning how any of these fields can be stepping stones to more choices of careers? Attend a panel discussion with women who work in a wide variety of industries and organizations. They will describe their career path, and reflect on the rewards, challenges, and opportunities along the way. The panel presentations will be followed by ample time for you to engage in large and small group discussions.

This sounds amazing, wish I lived anywhere near that.

No chance you guys will be making your way up to the CT area any time soon?

Is someone going to video this for distribution to other areas? How about a web cast?

I don't think we can pull together a webcast by tomorrow night, but I will see what we (or I) can do about recording and posting the discussion somewhere, but no guarantees.
