IRI 2010: Ride Coordination
 

With IRI two weeks away, let's see if we can coordinate some traveling (especially with the airport a half-hour away from the area of Lawrence North).

I'm arriving Thursday night (9:45 PM) and leaving Sunday night (8:05 PM). I'm in need of a ride to and from the airport, and I would like a ride to and from the school. (I'm at the Extended Stay Castleton, a mile and a half away driving--and most of that on your way). I can offer space in my room in exchange, and I don't mind if you have to drop me off at the airport early (or if your flight comes in after mine).

Anyone else in a similar boat (or feeling magnanimous)? This would be the thread to beg/borrow/deal.

Im in the same boat

I'll be arriving around Noon on Thursday and leaving around three on sunday. If anyone is landing around that time and can either give me a ride, or is willing to split a cab ($80 from the airport to the hotel :eek: ). I'll be staying at the Hotel Indigo off 96th Street (right near the holiday inn and holiday inn express).

I haven't checked all my avenues (word is that there are programs at work), but my USAA membership would let me rent a small car for that kind of dough. YMMV.

Bump / Update / Edit: I'm looking into flying in from Milwaukee and just taxing to my hotel and back on Thursday / Sunday. Would any teams be willing to let me ride with them to the school in the mornings and back in the evenings? I'd be happy to provide some super collectible 2791 T-shirts in exchange! Lemme know so I can figure out what hotel to book. Thanks in advance!

You are welcome to stay with 1038 at the Hampton Inn Northeast Indianapolis on East 82nd, if you would like; we would be happy to have you accompany us to and from IRI! Just let me know, we will be arriving Thursday night and departing Saturday night...

Rather last minute request I know: it'd be super cool to not have to take a cab to Lawrence North High from the airport. Anyone willing to help out? I'll cover gas, and if your team is stopping at your hotel first I can just chill in the lobby.

So I've bitten the bullet and rented a car. Since my flight gets in at 10:00 PM on Thursday (if it's on time with a connection at O'Hare with scattered thunderstorms in the forecast--you don't have to break out any blue hair dye to do the math there), I'm camping out until 12:15 AM Friday to make it count as one less day (and, with some magical change in rate rules, save about $60 in the process).

If you're also getting into the airport later in the evening Thursday and are staying within range of the school (and don't mind waiting a little bit), I may be able to help you.
