Re: [FF]: Season Long Waiver Discussion

Seattle is getting a large realignment. It may be that GTR is as well, but that's neither here nor there.

It may be reasonable to deal with the realignment differently than standard procedure. Here's what I'm thinking:

Should a player have a team that they would like to keep switch events, they get first claim for that team in the event switched to. If there are two such teams in a player's alliances, one at each event, they may simply be traded between events. If a player doesn't choose to keep a team that switches, they can indicate that and use the missing teams priority (which would be second to the switching events priority).

Thoughts?

I don't feel like going through the event list and finding added teams. Will someone be willing to do this before midnight?

Re: [FF]: Season Long Waiver Discussion

I left the Toronto and Seattle events alone for now

Granite State 811 2010
FLR 843 1075 -3840
New Jersey 3419
Alamo -3631 -3834
San Diego 2477 -3126
Greater Kansas City 476 2373 3765 should be 3764
Wisconsin -1268 2481
Detroit -2834 -3098 3605
Sacramento 1323 2473
West Michigan -518
Troy 322
Peachtree 3227
Bayou -3832
St. Louis -2481 3868
Washington 433 1708
Palmetto -1649 3336
Oregon -948
Connecticut 3044
10000 Lakes 3871 3883
Las Vegas 359 1266
Waterford -2832

2834 was listed as missing in Waterford previously but i see them registered there now. 2832 is missing in Waterford and 2834 is not registered in Detroit. Unless anybody objects I would like to get 2834 back in Waterford and I'm sure Alex would like the same.

I think Michigan is just changing the team lists like seattle and Toronto are doing. I think it would be fine to undo the results of the move.

Any word on waivers for this past weekend?

Also, Seattle should be ready for the realignment check. Any thoughts on the suggestion I had earlier?

Midwest: 3612
Los Angeles: 3759
Oregon: 3070
Silicon Valley: 2456 3503
Connecticut: 157

Colorado: 2352 2461

1706 and 2359 dropped Kansas City
3589 dropped Florida
279 dropped Wisconsin
1095, 1708 and 2890 dropped Chesapeake
3836 and 3874 dropped Peachtree

Re: [FF]: Season Long Waiver Discussion

Because I didn't have a 3rd team in Colorado, I grabbed 2352 and sent myself to the bottom of the wiaver list.

After doing the Herculean amount of work it takes to run a full waiver system I think absolutely no one can or will complain about being a little late from now on.

Agreed.

Also, to make things a bit easier:

Seattle has realigned. Everyone was affected--at least one team switched per person (and for most people, that's one per event). So, here's the plan on that:

If you had a "balanced" switch (i.e., 1 team switched from each event), you will simply get those teams in their new event. For example, Alex had 2 teams go from Olympic to Cascade, and 2 from Cascade to Olympic. Those teams will be traded between events. We'll do that automatically. (Alex, Barry, dodar, Karibou, and Tim, this is you guys.)

If you did not have a "balanced" switch, you get to decide what to do. You can choose not to switch any teams over. You can choose to take all of the switched teams and drop a team you already have. You can choose to take fewer switched teams and go pot luck on waiver picks for missing teams. You make the decision. (If you weren't on the list above, this is you.)

Ed and Chris kept their Olympic alliances intact; Basel did the same for his Cascade alliance. There were a couple of brand-new teams, and a bunch of teams in the pool that traded, but we'll put those up after about a week to give folks time to make their decisions on current teams.

If you want to know which teams you have that switched, shoot Alex or myself a PM. We both have that data.

I'll cross-post this into the Season Long thread for better exposure.
