Mr. Ivey's final photo.

Subtitle: Team 2108 is looking for a new mentor

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

So the robot wants to attack me and take a bite out of my best pair of jeans? I'll teach 'em.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

*beavis and butt head voices*

Yeah... yeah.. 2 points...2 points... right.. right... yeah yeah..

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

See, I told you it could hold more than 150 lbs. I mean it could hold up to 150 lbs, I mean... Oh forget it, it holds a lot.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

Judging by his jeans, this wasn't his first attempt.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

This was the first moment when the constitutionality of human robot relationships was called into question.

Wayne Doenges 16-08-2010 12:08

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

Mr. Ivey: "Hey ya'll, watch this."
* one second later the pole breaks *
As Mr. Ivey was being taken the imfirmary he kept mumbling "who built that tower?" The team didn't have the heart to remind him that HE built the tower.

EricH 16-08-2010 12:58

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

"See, kids, I told you I could fly."
"Now try it WITHOUT the support structure. We'll build a robot while you do."

DonRotolo 16-08-2010 21:30

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Mark Ivey will be that man; better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."

Team 2108 did it, but to their chagrin, they found that they overshot the allowable budget by some $5,996,500.00

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

Most of the members of the Awkward Turtle team knew better than to attend a meeting the night after Mark went to the annual chili festival...

Mentor: Gene Kelly, you say? Bah!
Umbrella, you think? Ha!

If you really want to dance - I mean - really - want to dance -
find a robot - then you'll fly.

Well, er... when the robot goes for the bar, you just hang on for the ride.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

Mr. Ivey: 25... 26... 27... 28...

Off-camera student: What in the world are you doing?

Mr. Ivey: Pull-ups. I have to get toned.

Off-camera student: Oohhhh, beach season coming up?

Mr. Ivey: Beach season??? Pssh, why would I want to get ripped for the beach? Everyone knows that Robo-Prom is where its at.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #319

Hopefully, he won't fall down. While they may be able to hang, Awkward Turtles are not known for their self-righting abilities.

Sorry for the delay--consider it an invocation of the Billfred Is Working To Cook His Mother/Brother/Girlfriend A Lovely Meatloaf Dinner Too Much Rule. (Successfully too!)

(Fittingly, the fire alarms just went off in my old building where I'm camped out to judge the contest. Just a drill, no sweat...but blame USC Fire Safety for delaying the results another five minutes.)
