Moderators for all forums
Brandon,
There are several forums in which there are only a few moderators, most of which are not very active any more. One example is the career forum and another is the Math & Science. Given the amount of SPAM nowadays, I think it makes sense to give all the publicly accessible forums the same number of moderators as every other forum, like the general forum which has 33 moderators. As a side note, of those 33 moderators, not very many are still very active, but there are several that do a good job keeping everything clean. |
Re: Moderators for all forums
Is this a request for help or is it information for the masses?
If it is a request for help, how do interested people volunteer? Jane |
Re: Moderators for all forums
Yes, what Jane said.

Re: Moderators for all forums
This is a suggestion to Brandon to distribute the moderators better, although personally, I think Jane and Don would make good moderators if more are needed.

Jane P.S. To add, the SPAMmers seem to like to post during evening, late nights, and early mornings. Those are not great times for folks who are contending w/school or social activities to have to monitor the fora, although many of our awesome mods have been doing it for a long long time. |
Re: Moderators for all forums
I'd love to help in the fact that, I spend hours on here sometimes just scrolling through posts, darn Insomnia.

Re: Moderators for all forums
Joe, I think the moderators are distributed similarly to the distribution of posts. While that doesn't help with spam, it makes sense to have more moderators where there are more posts.
Although I am eager to sign up to be a moderator, I don't think this is the place for it. Can we not clutter this thread with people volunteering so that it stays more to the point. |

Re: Moderators for all forums
I don't think there need to be more moderators, just that the current moderators be given mod powers for all the forums with a small handful of moderators.
