IRI Charitiy Update

While we were working to get information to update the IRI website, we gathered some of this records from the IRI scholarships, auction and backpack projects. These are pretty exciting numbers - totalling nearly $80,000 since 2003.

Thank you again to everyone who has donated a backpack or an item for the auction, or purchased one of the items or made a donation for the mentor tournament or to the scholarship fund.

■ $38,500 of scholarships have been awarded to 37 students
■ 645 supply-filled backpacks (worth over $19,000) have been donated to needy Indianapolis kids
■ $20,450 has been raised through the silent auction and other events for 8 local charity organizations

Chris,
Congrats to you folks for such an impressive stat on your outreach program for IRI.
Its such a great example for other teams to emulate and do for their respective communities.

Wow, those are some very impressive numbers. It was quite rewarding for our team to attend this year. We brought a little Team 342 flair with us in our backpack donation (Penguins of Madagascar on it).

IRI is definately "The granddaddy of them all."

Hey, there's an idea for next years slogan!
