Control System Alternate Setup?

We received a very generous donation of a second cRio from one of our sponsors.

To get a programming team working on this second cRio I was looking at our various setup options.

We have a second KOP router. We have a Logitech dual action gamepad. We have access to a laptop that we can use as a Driver Station.

Reading various threads it sounds like we can hook up our second KOP router directly into the cRio (essentially replacing the WGA600N bridge). Then do wireless from our laptop based Drivers Station. It sounds like we could also do wireless from our programming laptop as well for deployment of the new code.

Does this sound like it would work?

Another option is to purchase a WET610N bridge and connect that in the standard control system configuration. I am a little concerned about running both the KOP Bridge at the same time at a WET610N bridge, though we would set them up on different ip addresses. I am thinking back to the issues that happened at the 2010 regionals when there was a mix of old and new bridges in use.

Our goal is to have two programming teams working on two separate cRios at the same time.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions?

cRIO<--->ethernetCable<--->router<--->802.11g_Wireless@2.4GHz<--->laptop

Configure Router for 802.11g@2.4GHz and set SSID
