I would bet two Krispy Kremes that the 2011 game is named Top Secret.
(unfortunately the KK store by us went out of business)

The KK stores around here also went out of business a long time ago, but grocery stores and some gas stations still have them. Not entirely the same, but it may have to do. I don't know what will happen if the rules say that the refs have to wear kilts...I'd owe Dave a year's supply of KKs.

No internetz??????:(

The article the picture is posted in is entitled Dynamic Duo and the Red Herrings.

Discuss.

The staff doesn't know it but we're having haggen daaz at 2.

Wasn't there earlier mention of haggen daaz?

They've had Haggen Daaz on so many blog posts, I doubt that's the game hint.

Of interesting note: the Israeli Assistant Regional Director was in NH recently, and the article Dave posted links to a winery in Israel.

Dave mentions food in many of his posts, even in ones from previous years, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Also, the image of the red herring was one of the first results in a Google Image search for "red herring", so I wouldn't read too much into that either.

That being said, I can't wait for the real game hint next week!

Dave, I believe that song was the shrubbery you wanted.

The red herring is obvious! Even EricH sees it. It certainly comes from Monte Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. The Knights who say NI first demand a shrubbery for payment. When that payment is delivered, they then notify King Arther that they have changed their name and require a tree be cut down with a herring as additional payment!

This means that in order to be successful, your robot needs to do one thing at the first of the round and something completely different at the end! Of course, that happens every year.

Uhh?... Never mind.

Maybe this thread should be re-titled "Waiting impatiently for the 2011 hint!" since having over 100 posts doesn't seem very patient.

Really, Jane? REAALLY? What's cold for you? Cause, for two days in a row it didn't get warmer than -3 degrees here in Michigan. :yikes: Plus, it's ICE CREAM! It's always time for ice cream! Even in the dead of winter!

If we get anywhere near -3, we'll be in biiiiigggg trouble. Our pipes would be bursting like waterworks.

Enjoy your ice cream, I like hot cocoa. With marshmellows.

Jane
