Creating iParts

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have had any luck with making your own iParts. I've messed around with the iSprocket and understand how they work, I'm just not sure how to create the dialogue box to input the desired dimensions.

Alec,

This is Phil Dollan, I work with Autodesk and will be monitoring the CAD forum for the next couple of months.

Can you tell me what it is you are trying to use the iPart tools for? It looks like you are creating sprocket gears, if so, you are probably better using Design Accelerator to get the gear size you want.

Tell me a bit more about what you need and I will work with you to solve the problem.

Phil

I was hoping to be able to create an iPart of half inch diameter aluminum spacers with 3/4 inch deep 1/4-20 threaded holes in each end.
