Help! Autodesk 3DS Max crashing!
 

I'm having trouble in autodesk 3DS Max 2011. I've been working on the safety animation and now I'm getting an error message. First off when I open the scene I get a message about how an obsolete data file has been found and I should resave the file. I've done this and still get the error. When I merge a file with this file (a.k.a. I bring in my character, which is a CAT character) they will merge. But when I mess with the CAT rig I get the message about how an error has occurred and the application will now close. I've tried merging them differently and have downloaded the hotfixes and service pack for 3DS Max. Any help would be good.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? I'm currently rebuilding from scratch. Although it should go faster this time since I kinda know what I'm doing, but if anyone knows how to fix this assistance would be appreciated. My problem might be just one of those glitches that no one knows how to fix. That might be cool, an unsolvable problem :rolleyes: .

Hey, sorry I didn't answer sooner. Were you using models from a previous build? That would cause the error message.

Could you please explain what you're saying? I rebuilt it so it's a little to late to use those files (although I think I like the new one better). But I would like to know what happened for future reference.
