There are no safety animations there yet, so yours could be the first!

Very creative. I think you might have trouble with people understanding the song because of the techno themed voice.

Good job guys! Hey, someone needs to tell team 1517 to post a link to their animation, it's great!

@ rtfgnow: Yeah, my dad told me that he thought I'd gone with to much robo voice. But by that point I was kinda tired of working on the thing. I rebuilt everything pretty close to the due date. And did the the whole animation by myself. Used an Ipohne app for the robo voice so... blame Apple:)

I like it! I would kinda like to know what all went into making the birds. It looks like it just uses simple shapes but they look great. Did you use the CAT system or bipeds?

Maya primitives with fairly simple rigs. I'll have the head animator weigh in on a follow up post. Thanks!

Haven't even used maya. Thought about it and decided it was to late to learn a new software... but if enough people say maya is the way to go (over max) then I might have to look at it. Look forward to hearing from head animator.

Thanks! We've seen a lot of the cool animations the other teams have done - awesome work everyone. It's nice to get them posted so everyone's hard work can be seen. Congrats to the winning video too!

Team 1517's animation is on the team site http://bbrobotics.org/mul_video.aspx There's also a quick behind the scenes video of our workflow (we had a pretty strict rule not to touch the software until the concept created, revised and revised again!) We'd love to hear how other teams approached their project and solved problems.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THE NEW ANIMATION CHALLENGE INFO? The autodesk site we've been going to is down for maintenance until tomorrow and we were supposed to start work today. Thanks.

In the webinar, Autodesk mentioned that they would be back up on the 10th. I don't recall a specific time.

Odds are that the new challenge info will be out when the website comes back up we normally have to wait a day, two, or more after the game comes out.

Thanks we'll look for it then. :) We're a veteran team, but not in animation. We've never really attacked it in an organized way with an "animation crew" until this year. What is the webinar that was mentioned?

It's nice to hear that teams are looking more into animation. Let me know if you guys need any help. I'm by no means a pro but know a good bit from working with 3Ds max for 5 years

I'm not really sure what webinar he was referring to unless he meant the broadcast this morning that released the game
