This performance went from torture, having to listen to them while looking for the hat, to awesome because slash was there, back to torture because slash went away and still no hat.

I don't remember will.i.am saying he'd wear the hat at the Superbowl. Only Dean trying to goad him into it. His head wear doesn't lend itself to the hat either. He might surprise us yet, but I doubt it.
