Re: pic: Team 233 robot for 2k11
Sadly I don't think we can model ours off my teams 2007 robot as it was a bottom row scoring highly successful ramp bot
Also the fact that I am no longer up north but mentoring a team in the south... I don't see us having any hands on time with the robot in Pennsylvania not in Louisiana where I am stationed and mentoring lol |
Re: pic: Team 233 robot for 2k11
We also were looking at a number of successful '07 bots (including Pinks!).
My question seems kid of obvious, but... Why Not? What changes would be required on a well performing ring-placer from '07: - Bumpers - Control System Upgrade to cRIO - Maybe minibot (probably) - Autonomous Sensors I know that no one is really just going to recycle their '07 bot right :) but as designs get stabilized, this makes a good engineering discussion. Is this bot too big; can it make it inside the 60" cylinder during operation or get down to the 5' height and within the frame for starting configuration? Can it reach to about 9.5 feet and place a tube? Can it handle the different sized tubes well? I am interested from a design standpoint. Thanks! |

We will be using the same arm mechanism from 07, though adding some tweaks to make it easier to use for this year.

I knew I should have kept your telescoping arm while I had the chance. =(
