Standard Mini-Bot Deployment Mechanism
I found on the US FIRST site a thread that described teams collaborating to design a Mini-Bot deployment mechanism that every team would use and there for any team could use any teams Mini-Bot.
What are your thoughts? Is this a plausible idea? If so, how do we execute? |
Re: Standard Mini-Bot Deployment Mechanism
Also it needs to be simple so that each team can successfully build it and attach it to their robot and the smaller the better.

Re: Standard Mini-Bot Deployment Mechanism
I was thinking a drawer with a slot (V shaped maybe) that the mini-bot sits in during the match and then the drawer slides out and the pole fits into the notch in the drawer hitting the mini-bot. after that it is all up the the mini-bot. This way the mini bots don't need to drive. and it will allow deploying some mini bots who weren't designed for our system. (just stuff them in the box)

Can this discussion be merged with the other thread I linked to earlier?
