All you need to add now is a "Problem First" with a trollface.

Hahahahahahah we have to keep /b/ and FIRST separate! We don't want any Dean Kamen memes now do we?

Oh wait... that would be freaking awesome...

Mr. Powers 399. You are hilarious. You should randomly place a dean Kamen meme in your animation this year.

Yesterday I had a student suggest having the minibot hold a magnet underneath to propel itself upwards.

I told him that if he built it, and it worked, we would use it...

Haha we had the same suggestion from a student, and we (the mentors) had the same reply as you. :P

You should go back and tell him that if he built it, and it worked, he'd probably get some sort of Nobel Prize for discovering a magnetic mono-pole. Heh.

It's still illegal. The only energy source for vertical motion is the battery.

We thought of it too, and we were really disappointed to find out the ban was not just on "stored energy" but on anything but electrical energy.

Oh at first I thought it was a cockroach with a microchip on its head or something. But then I saw the magnet...

ChiefDelphi is not 4chan. Please grow up and stop treating it as such.

Relax, we all need a little stress relief during the build season. Often times, immaturity like this is a great way to calm down. Plus, who knows seeing this can lead someone to a great idea. Did you know that both the X-ray and radar were discovered by accident?

So you were being serious with your first post? It should be obvious that this idea wouldn't work.

Jokes like this arent 4Chan exclusive. I could see you complaining if it wasnt FIRST related, but this was made to give everybody on our team a laugh as they consider minibot designs. Troll physics are good clean fun.

No, I'm not against fun, but associating Chief Delphi with 4chan, of all possible websites, isn't very gracious and is the opposite of professional.

Using "f@g" in any setting and especially on this website is absolutely despicable.

For all its problems, 4chan has brought us some of the greatest laughs of the century. Share and cherish the good, keep the bad locked in the incubator.

Cheers.

This wasnt meant to make a link between 4chan and Chiefdelphi. In fact, i was not even thinking of the corelation between 4chan and troll physics when i posted this.

Im disapointed that it turned into this, but me losing rep over it is rather lame.

Gotta love Troll Science.

A favorite of mine was to breed a pig and a snake together, then when the pigsnake thing sheds its skin = free bacon. Sounds legit... ::rtm::
