I read the competiotion manual and didn't understand a few things..
just tell me if i'm right here:

There's this alien species called "iiko", and they have some environmental issues that we need to invent and show in the final animation. Also, we need to show a solution to this problem.

thats it?

and one more thing.
it says technology is like magic to them, so that means they dont have technology?

The prompt basically asks you to think up of an imaginary enviromental problem that plagues the iiko, and how you can fix it. So yeah, that's pretty much it.

The "magic" part is simply an emphasis on their interest in using technology to improve their lives.

Alien: foreigner: a person who comes from a foreign country; someone who does not owe allegiance to your country

Alien: extraterrestrial being: a form of life assumed to exist outside the Earth or its atmosphere

Hope that might help with ideas.

Also you don't need to use their Iiko model/rig if you want to make your own.
