[FTC]: power issues

So our robot sometimes does not engage/turn on.
When the power button is switched, the servo's twitch (small electrical signal but they do not operate). If we flip the power switch back and forth several times, finally the robot comes to life.

We've tried disconnecting and reconnecting all of the power lines between controllers.

Help!!! Thoughts?

Thanks!

Ethan

Re: [FTC]: power issues

My team has encountered servos borrowed from other teams that just wouldn't power up with our robot, but nothing like this. You mention the servo coming to life but what about your motors?

I assume one part of your robot could be failing probably to normal wear and tear, I guess it could be the servo controller, motor controller, or power switch, or bad wires or battery? I suggest you make sure your wires to your controllers don't have exposed metal at the end, that's how we blew a couple of fuses.

The motors don't engage either. Really nothing works. I'm going to work through every piece of the electronics to see if i can't determine the dead piece.

Thanks.

We've found that the battery/switch connectors are often a problem. Watch the Samantha module, those lights are really obvious. Then just wiggle that connection.
