1.75 steel pipe

I have been experiencing some difficulties on locating 1.75 Steel Pipe to do some tests on where can I find some?
--Preferably a store in Minnesota or a online one to order from--

Your local building supply store should have it in stock, it's called 1.5" EMT

You can get it at Home Depot. It's actually 1 1/2 electrical conduit.

McMaster-Carr is an excellent resource to purchase raw metal materials. They're usually very fast.

Right. The nominal diameter (i.e., what they call it) is 1-1/2" EMT, but the stuff is just about 1-3/4" in diameter. Like the rules say.

Or use top rail for chain link fence, it's the right size. Whatever you have laying around :)

Thank you for the help but wont most fences have different dimensions.

I was wondering about the surface. I have been testing on 1 3/4 DOM steel tubing. Is the game played with galvanized pipe?

The 1.5 EMT that I bought is galvanized, which I'm pretty sure is standard finish. The OD (per spec) is actually 1.74. This is the material that the official field drawing calls out.

Chain link fences use standard parts, at least in the US.

It might be difficult to find these materials in different countries.

EMT is galvanized coated. Looking at several brands some are very smooth and uniform. Home Depot sample was rough. If I had HD tubing and my bot worked oK, I'd be worried about showing up at the comp and finding FIRST used very smooth and uniform tubing.
