Mecanum Wheel question.
In a chain/sprocket drive. How do you place the axle into the wheel? We want to know the full requirements of mecanum wheels before we commit.

Re: Mecanum Wheel question.
If you are talking about the AndyMark 8" Mecanum wheels, one way to do it is to bolt the sprocket directly to the wheel with some stand-offs. Bearings are pressed into the middle of the wheel, and the axle is a dead axle (does not spin, or transfer power to the wheel).
This is how 1310 did it last year, and ran each wheel from its own CIM/Toughbox combination. |
Re: Mecanum Wheel question.
Do we need 2 bearings per wheel?

Re: Mecanum Wheel question.
That is the same for 2975. We are using 6 inch mecanum on dead axles. So follow this advice^^^^^
