What exactly is a PF motor? And What does it stand for?

Ok, now to answer the question...

You probably mean FP motor which is referring to the Fisher-Price motor. The motor is actually made by Johnson Electric (I think). These motors mate with the plastic 3 stage transmission in the KOP. Together they are used for the toy jeeps sold through the Fisher Price brand.

And with a pinion change can be mated with other gearboxes, even the banebots...
