Windows 7 Genuine Verification
Our programming team has been working for about the past week on getting our 2go pc verified for genuine windows. After reading several blogs and forum posts we currently know that the .bat file is only a temporary fix but also that is does not work. If anyone knows how to fix this or can tell us how they sucessfully did this it would be greatly appreciated. :D
p.s. im a newbie so any and all advice is appreciated :) |
Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
as i saw on the usfirst forums they are making a fix right now.. the .bat file is a 30 day temporary fix i believe..
just hang tight until a solution is found we're having the same problem |
Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
If you connect to the internet it should be fixed... Or, if not, I'm not really sure what I did. I am no longer seeing the message and am considered verified.
Either way, I don't believe Win7 has a "reduced functionality" mode. At the worst, you'd have to put up with some popups. I assume the batch file does this, but enter "slmgr -rearm" at the command prompt. |
Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
what exactly should that command do?

Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
it rearms your 30 day trial period, so you can test windows for longer.

Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
sweet, so if first doesnt have us a fix at the end of the 30 days we can renew it for extra time :) thanks

Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
you can rearm it up to 3 times I do belive and at that point you need to either clean install it and go it again for 90 day block or get the actual software.

Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
If FIRST doesn't get us a fix by the time competition begins, then I'd suggest doing a clean install/activate at the beginning of March before our first event.
Nothing like having your driver station die in the middle of a competition day and having to re-image without Internet access. --- what time is our next match???? |

Re: Windows 7 Genuine Verification
thanks everyone for the help! we are now not getting the message but still having popups. Sticking it out does seem like the best idea.
Thanks again! :) BLSAH++ (my friend did that) :P |
