Minibot wheels

Does anybody know whether we are allowed to alter the wheels on the minibot, such as filing down the thread or making them concave? Also, could we add substances to increase grip?

<R92> is fairly specific. I do not see any rules prohibiting modifying parts. I also urge you to only use "substances" that are mentioned in the rule (e.g., non-slip pad).

I had the idea of grinding down the rubber wheel tread on the tetrix wheels to get a rougher surface that conforms to the pole better.

Make sure the substances will not leave residue on the pole. I'm pretty sure it's a deactivation of the tower or disqualification if you leave anything on the pole.

Plus other teams will get mad at you for gunking it up

We thought of this too. Even flipping the rubber to make the wheel concave seemed to help a bit.
