So if your compressor fails and you replace it with a new one, you have to change the price in your BOM? I don't think you can take depreciated cost in the BOM, but fair market value of a new one - see rule R21. If a part is no longer available retail then it might be what a new one would cost on ebay.

Since everything needs to come from a vendor and the vendor must meet certain requirements, this is going to be fun to figure out.
