Wow... Chicago is really getting hit hard. Winds damaged Wrigley Field roof.

It's an ice storm here in Watertown.

I feel ya Chris, we lose one every now and then and it always seems to be on one of my two days with the team. We have a garage to work in right now, and while hand tools are doing fine I do miss the nice straight cuts of the power tools. I'm almost addicted to the smell of fresh cut metal at 7am on Saturday :o.

Well,
I think we are mostly dug out now. Drifts in my front yard were over my waist. The sun came out this afternoon but temps are now going into the minus region tonight and wind chills may be as low as -25 to -30 F. Plows have only come within three feet of the curb because they can't push anymore snow.

Let me make a prediction. No extension, only an increase in withholding allowance. In the DC area last year, we had almost 4 feet of snow in less than a week. We lost 15 days because of weather. There was so much snow on the roof of our building, we were told we couldn't even go into the building to get parts to work on, because of the fear of a roof collapse. We sent plenty of non-whiny emails, and there was no extension. My guess is, we'll see the same this year.

This year, we've been on the sleet, freezing rain and very little snow side of the storms, so we've only lost 2 days. I feel for you all out in the Mid-west and in New England.

We will be competing in the BAE Granite State Regional in Week 1. Any teams that will be competing there, and need assistance, give us a shout. We're happy to roll up our sleeves and help you all out. Last year there were plenty of teams that did that for us. That's what "family" does for each other!

Hang in there and be safe above all else!

Steve
