Rookie Team needs (2) shifting gearboxes
 

Greetings from Team 3641, The Flying Toasters!

We are a rookie team and we are looking for two (2) - two speed gear boxes that will take the cims motors. Anyone have two extra that they can spare for a rookie team?:D

I hope you find what you want...
You do need to realize that those kinds of transmissions run over $300 a piece....so teams might not want to part with them...

Yeah, shifters are nice and all but a $700+ donation isn't something teams are going to just do :(

Don't worry though! Single speed transmissions are nice too - you just have to gear them properly and not be too aggressive with pushing. A few singe speed drivetrains have been on Einstein pretty consistently for the past several years - they alone will not make or break your season.

Our team has been quite happy with a single speed the past three years (counting 2011). I'd be happy to help you guys pick a ratio if you know what your strategy is, just send me a PM.
