Live Feed Question

Can we have Live Feed from the camera of the robot to the drivers station during the teleoperated period

It is permitted, yes. With regard to how to do it, I do not know, I am not a programmer.:p

What rules say that we can?

I don't know why you would want to, it kills your wireless speed, believe me, we've tried.

Re: Live Feed Question

Last year we had the camera broadcast a video signal back to our operator console. So long as it is controlled by the cRio, it's ok rules wise.

One of our mentors put some code in that completely removed the lag. But like I said earlier, I'm not a programmer.

Re: Live Feed Question

Section 2.2.8 The PLAYER STATIONS of the 2011 FRC Game Manual details the TCP and UDP ports accessible to the team and their typical use. Three ports are described as being used for the camera if desired.

Done correctly, using a camera doesn't noticeably slow down the rest of the robot.

That was our experience last year as well. We will be using the camera that way this year, too.
