how much pressure has to be in the tubes to pick them up? Can they be slightly deflated?

What kinda of mechanism lowers and rises the arm the gripper is attached to??

This is just a prototype on top of last year's robot - we're testing the gripper here, not the arm, which is actually just a pole right now. The robot version will be a 4-stage telescoping arm.
We still have to fine tune the gripper, but yes, it can handle all three game pieces even if a bit deflated - we're considering adding a bit more pressure in the gripper to improve the "range" on flatter tubes. |
