Many teams this year are still concerned about their robots and what the other teams' robots are capable of. However, once you watch this video you may want to rethink your strategy. http://www.youtube.com/user/CRyptoniteRobotics Also check out our youtube page for more videos like this. Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
can he throw that over the barrier though? we have found that the circle rolls if you throw it well, and the triangle is easy to throw at least 40 feet, the square is much harder to get to fly straight though.

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
there is also going to be a wall in front of him. Our human player wants to be able to score by throwing the tubes :yikes:

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
We're almost done building our prototype human player. He should be ready for testing by the weekend. We'll start working on the final version after we get all the bugs sorted out of v1.0.

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
Won't the wall between the human player the field get in the way of the throw? Another question is whether you can use tubes to throw them over and knock the other team's tubes off the grid.

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
It took him about 20 seconds to psych himself up for that. He may want to work on it
Nice camera work. |

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
There are a lot better ways to throw tubes than that this year.

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
With clever video editing, the 148 HP can score on the Galileo field all the way from the Newton field. BEWARE!

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
I have been practicing and I can throw it about 3/4 of the field (yes i have a wall and yes the back in is in play) but I probably wont be doing this unless its a desperation, last 30 seconds of the game type thing.

Re: 624 - Human Player Teaser
Look at any discus thrower's form. You can learn a thing or two from it.
