e-stop replacement

Is there anywhere I can go to get another e-stop. Andymark is out of stock ::safety::

You could probably buy any old switch and wire it correctly (correct me if I'm wrong?).

In the meantime, double-clicking Stop Button under Diagnostics will disable the requirement of a stop-button after twenty seconds.

I already had one instance where I needed it already...now I know not to let rookies touch LabVIEW

I believe there are some keyboard shortcuts, I would just use a wireless keyboard in the meantime, test the reliability of it for safety of course.

Of course by this you mean "now I know to run the robot on tether when testing code, and have a person with a hand on the jack in case the robot decides to Run Amok and Destroy its Masters", right?

FYI, after the "stop button" has been disabled as described above, the space bar no the drivers station (laptop) becomes the "stop button." Knowing how to STOP the robot from the drivers station in case of an emergency is something that everybody on the team should know.

The Driver Station space bar is always active as the "disable" control. F1 acts as "enable".

I mean 'dont step away from a laptop with LabVIEW open with a bunch of people around me and expect there to be no problems when you try to show tank drive to visitors.' It was actually quite embarrassing, but they understood.

Ah. I call that an IMC problem. (Insufficient Minion Control).
