The webcast was down most of the day, but it looked like they had drivetrain problems in the few matches I did catch.

They had driver station problems for their matches in the morning. They are working now and have a good minibot (the only one we have lost too but it was close ;) ) and they can score tubes on the top rack. I can see them rising up tomorrow!

Yes, we had driverstation problems. One of the inspectors had us reimage our new classmate needlessly which pretty much bricked it, then neither of our programming mentors' laptops seemed to be able to connect, nor our old classmate. We got a loaner classmate (thanks to 1493, who offered to let us use theirs), and will use that for tomorrow.

Also, we had the wrong braker on our lift motor, causing it to trip and shut down, taking the rest of the CAN network with it. We took it off CAN and put a bigger breaker in, and its now working fully.

We look forward to playing a few more matches tomorrow!

This post could not have been more accurate!

When Match 11 was first played in the morning, 3566, 78, and 1519 lost to 69, 166, and 126 by a score of 49-66. However, 3566's robot did not move due to field issues, which resulted in a replay of the match (and Matches 8-10, as well, for the same reason - it was apparently an issue with the driver station, I am not sure about the details). Match 11 was replayed as the last match of the day, at almost 7PM, due to the delay issues earlier in the day, and the 3566, 78, 1519 alliance topped the 69, 166, and 126 alliance by a score of 90-34 thanks to awesome tube scoring from 78, tube ferrying by 3566, solid scoring from 1519, and back-to-back mini-bot strikes from 1519 and 3566.

Just a quick update on GSR field issues:

There have been numerous field issues, including a unclear matter regarding CAN bus robots. Teams using CAN bus have been advised that it can't be assured to work on the field. It doesn't seem to be consistent, and no one can replicate the issue, but 95 spent several matches dead before it was pointed out.

We've rewired to use PWM, as has at least a few other teams. Hopefully the issue is eventually resolved, but at this point we're scared off of canbus (I'm calling it can't bus for now).

I'll be curious to see if this has cropped up at any other regionals, or if it's isolated to this field.

You are using Java, right? We are too. The guy who was helping us thought that is was the Java CAN bus that had an issue. We had issues until we found that one of the jaguars' breakers was being tripped, causing the bus to die (as stated above).

We are indeed using java. I hadn't heard that theory, but I suppose it's plausible as any. I'm sure it will all get figured out in the coming days.

Oh well. We ended up not using any of the cool CAN bus tricks the jags offer, so it didn't really lose us much besides two matches and a lot of now messy wiring.

We had CANbus issues prior to ship and couldn't get it to be stable. We pulled it out and replaced it with PWMs a week before ship and have had no issues since. We run Java and we believe the issues are between Java and Can, and not the hardware.

Lol for anyone that passes the video feed recording station, that computer setup is mines. Please don't touch the case because it is highly top heavy. Also I'm recording the event lol

The #3 and #1 alliances are scary good. Great job on scouting, teams - can't wait to see the showdown.

Someone got a tube on the tower. The best part? It actually prevented a team from deploying their minibot (from what I would see) .
