pneumatics help please.

My team and I have been working hard on our robot. I have run into a problem with the pneumatics. My question is how do i get the 2 different gadges in the system to show the corret values. I know that they have to show 120 psi and 60 psi.

thankyou for any help. :)

Re: pneumatics help please.

The gauges will show you the pressure of whatever they're connected to. Are you asking how to change the pressure to be what it's supposed to? That's what the adjustable regulators are for.

If you have the compressor wired and controlled according to the robot rules, the "120 PSI" part of the system will actually vary from about 95 to about 115 PSI as the pressure switch activates and deactivates. The "60 PSI" part of the system will be set by the regulator connected between the high-pressure storage side and the "working pressure" side.

You might want to review this document. It has descriptions, diagrams and pictures of a typical system. Note that this document augments but does not replace the robot rules...

Thank you so much for the help, I soon realized my mistake yesterday that I had to have the pressure switch programmed.

Now I am trying to figure out how to wire up the SMC solenoid to the soleniod breakout on the cRio. I have the 2 pin wire but im not sure on how the wires from the SMC soleniod go.

Does the black go to ground and the red to signal??

Yes.

Is your SMC a 12v or a 24v model?
Make sure your solenoid breakout is powered by the correct matching voltage.

you can have 24 volts off the breakout? I did not know that! I thought the only use of the 24 volt output of the PD was fro the Crio.

<R38> A. The cRIO-FRC power input must be connected to the 24 Vdc supply terminals on the PD Board. With the exception of one Solenoid Breakout Board, no other electrical load can be connected to these terminals.
