Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
looks really good you guys just two things though
1. why are you still tethered? (no offense) 2 when fully extended the top of your ladder seems to bend forward and looks a bit wobbly |
Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
Beautiful!
This robot is a perfect example of; "duh. we could have done that! wait. maybe we should have done that..." simple and effective:D |
Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
That is definitely an interesting arm.

Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
Thanks WhiteShadow1474! Think its working really good.
and tomy: We don't really plan on attacking other people. Our robot has a very good defense. That's all we need. And the leader can't break. We checked that. But it tends to fall forward if you stop it on high speed. Thats why we will take a lot of weight in the back. We got a bit less then 100lbs at the moment, than 20 additional pounds plus the mini robot should be good. |
Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
the mini bot can only be 15lbs not 20....

Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
No. The 20 pounds I#m talking about is not the robot. Its extra weight.
So robot at the moment (100lbs) + 20lbs weight at the back + (up to) 15lbs minirobot. By taking the mini robot and the extra weight in the back it can't fall over any more. |
Re: Team 3311 robot presenting vol. 2
this robot is so simple it remindes me of ours, we have a single pivoting arm that reaches the top peg, it made our of one little piece of angle iron on it witha small plastic(lexan) grabber on the end powered by a single 2in. cylinder. Our robot weighes like 95lbs. with the arm, minibot, battery, bumpers, and deployment on it.
